“It was a great experience working with Muñeca. I shared my vision of what I hoped for in my website and she nailed it. When something didn’t fit what I was looking for she made the changes I requested. She was easily available and followed through on all agreements. She even walked me through how to make edits myself if ever I need to do so. When the project was finished I was ecstatic with how everything turned out. I would not hesitate to hire her again, and will continue to refer her to new clients.”
– Andrea Amstutz, The Book Nest
The client envisioned a website design that was “cozy, inviting, and curious, a bit vintagey, but appropriate for all ages”. Using WordPress, I developed a custom full-site editing theme and tailored custom post types for books and authors. Notable features include an ISBN search field linked to the OpenLibrary.com API for efficient book data retrieval. Advanced Custom Fields were integrated for managing local delivery, inventory, book reviews, and Bookshop.org affiliate links.
Moreover, the site boasts an events calendar for highlighting pop-up and community events, fostering community engagement. Designed with soft colors, a custom book nest illustration, vintage line art icons and decorative leaves elements expands on the The Book Nest logo’s charm and their brand’s cozy invitation to read.
